We are working very hard to officialise the society with the Cameroon government. This activity is currently being led by Prof. Atsa. Once more progress has been made, we will ensure to keep you all up to date.
Ongoing and Upcoming activities.
- In the past months, we have been in a membership drive and have managed to secure some adhesion from the following academic institutions:
- National Advanced School of Engineering of Douala, the University of Douala, Douala
- The Department of Computer Science, the University of Yaounde I, Yaounde
- National Advanced School of Engineering of Yaounde, the University of Yaounde I, Yaounde
This has been great and gives us hope that this society can have a significant impact both nationally and worldwide. However, we will need the participation of everyone to help recommend more members. Please do advertise the society to all who might be interested to join. 2. The formalisation of the association, the consolidation of the Executive Committee, and the definition of an agenda are some of our current priorities. We are actively in discussion with the existing members on the next steps. Should you be interested in becoming a committee member, you can get in touch with us via email at comittee@camcompsoc.org. We will consider every request we receive.
3. Alongside the formalisation of the association, we have been finalising the Cameroon Computer Society Constitution. A draft of which is available on our website. All members are invited to give their feedback on the current draft no later than the 09th of January 2022.
