Dr. Ekembe N. Gerard

My research interests are in verification of computer-based systems, notably using Formal Methods. I am also interested in the semantics of Programming Languages and related questions of semantic equivalences.

I now work as a postdoctoral researcher at Lero – Irish Software Research centre, on the verification of avionics systems, with a special regard on scalability and the integration of formal verification techniques within existing development processes.

I obtained my PhD in December 2016 at the University of York. In my thesis, I define mobile CSP (or CSPmob), an extension of CSP (Communicating Sequential Algebra) for modelling both systems with a dynamic network topology and process migration. I obtained my MSc in Computing at the University of York in 2012, and my BEng in Telecommunications at the then National Advanced School of Posts of Telecommunications or NASPT (now SUPPTIC).
